To survive in
today's current corporate world is as difficult as fighting a border crossing
It is more useful to create collaborators than to make friends in today's corporate age, because collaborators provide better care than friends.
There is no
general principle that associates are only in your section. Collaborators must
be inside and out of your responsibility circle.
Corporate culture
is divided into many companies in two or more camps. The head of the so called
camps is not less than a battalion captain. For them, their personal interests
are more intimate than the interest of the company.
The heads of the
so-called camps are always thinking about their interest and image. Their
Information about his company's project, production, is only adequate for
meeting. Their juniors keep presentations, statics, project reports, etc. make
ready for them.
A collaborator
can prove to be life-saving for you, many times we do not have any way in the
classic situations, and no advance warning is available. In this context, refer
to the following classical examples.
Incident-1
: Rahul is a project engineer in the
corporate house. His responsibility has been assigned to him.
He has to be
included in a general meeting. But he does not know that in the meeting, he
will be presented as responsible for the not timely discharge of the details of
the new specification as per the customer's demand to the Purchase Department.
But the Purchase Officer has advised Rahul that the new specification note of
the customer has been given to him only two days before by his superior. Rahul
has to fight himself now.
Scene
of the Meeting Room
Rahul:
Sir, customer's first-person contact is you. And you have forbidden me to talk
to the customer directly. And according to our company's policy, the customer's
excess demand is to be noted in the add on cost sheet. Then it has to send the
head of the marketing department for approval. Those who have to give them in
the purchase after getting approved. I have no such information. Or is there
any e-mail to your instruction? Sir now tell me which basis you can give a
reasonably memo.
Superior
officer; Ok I'll see this mater. You do
not need to worry.
In
the context of this incident, Rahul got collaboration. Not associate Now Rahul
himself will decide whether he will make a purchase officer a collaborator or
not.
Incident
2:-
Mihir is a project engineer. And his
project needs urgent material. He kept an advance note in the Purchase
Department. But the possibilities of getting that material up to 90 days are
very less. & the company has promised to complete the project within 30 days to the
customer.
Now
Mihir is in a lot of trouble. He has only one way. The material is available at
the company's warehouse. But it is under the control of another project
engineer Nimesh. Mihir has a situation where he has to talk to Nimesh to
facilate the material urgently for his project.
Mihir
immediately explained his situation by discussing with Nimesh. Nimesh has one condition.
He will be able to give the material as its project time limit is 140 days.
Mihir urgently gives the authority of his upcoming material to give him so that
Nimesh can handle his coming projects well.
Mihir
accepted Nimesh's offer and gave him the authority of his upcoming material.
Both agreed to represent each other and raised their associates.
Both
of the above incidents are in different context. But not to be omitted. This is
the pattern of the New corporate era, Friendship and collaboration in today's
world are two sides of a coin. Which side to use it will be depends on time.
