It's good to be bad in the corporate world

Have you ever wondered Why bad people are the most successful persons in the business.

Your seen so many seniors bosses, managers supervisors, your fellow colleagues who is terribly bad on their attitudes. 

Why this persons are getting more Limelight than yours, it's not because you are good, it's not because they are bad, it's your perception of scenario decides who is bad and who is good.

You want to be good then be good with your family, friends, elders. 

At work you are the incharge of your job, don't let other person to tell you how to do your job, if someone tells you that you have to do your job properly then it's the time to think inside, before lashing on someone with harsh words.

At your job you are being paid for to do the job. not to be being good with everybody.

Goodness must have a presence in your nature. But don't show goodness into your task or job, when you have to interact with so many people, it is General principle of the human nature “people will always take advantage of good nature”. 

It's OK to help a needy person who is desperate & actually might need your help at the time. But identify the persons who is habitual to take advantage of your goodness every time and not showing gratitude.

You can have a glimpse of this people in your everyday, your colleague who is not able to finish his or her assignment on the time and asking for your help on the weekends when you have plan something bigger or something other are you haven't plant at all but they are asking for your precious time that you can spend which your family.

Have you ever observed that your manager is Furious, when the given task is not completed and not reporting in properly manners. because they have a job to complete and they have paid to observe and manage the resources provided to them, That's why most of the manager are successful because they are keeping a close watch on there subordinates and juniors, they are working operation on every task which you are performing and your team is performing. They give brutal word bomb if you and your team is not functioning well. 

You don't have to think out taking this personally, if you have a similar kind of situation at the job, I am not talking about every manager, but some managers are really bad at the communication, appreciation, functionality wise. Whose complete job is to criticize every action of the team. Believe me this kind of managers don't get respect. 

If someone is taking job seriously and asking for the progress of the task and taking proactive follow up and keep pushing team members to complete the task within the deadline. It's not bad because they have paid for to do the job. This kind of bad is needed to keep business running.

Remember “if manager getting six figures sum on their paycheck, it's a lots of responsibilities are involved within the six figures.”

you are good at your job and you can do it very nicely there is no doubt about that, imagine if you have to manage team of 5 or 4 members, imagine you to track each and every person’s progress and Keep checking on them, while have to focus on other jobs also, meanwhile if somebody is not functioning properly and getting delayed in the task, imagine the person who is the incharge of the all task and giving the feedback to the higher up’s which entire attention is focusing and gathering the data for next month forecast of the progress, Sales forecast, project progress report, financial value, it can be anything. 

Imagine a data is not completed and person is presenting with incomplete data. Then it's a problem. 

Managers are not found of excuses. They don't have to entertain any of excuse. They are not paid for to hear the excuses. 

Similar in nature you have to be very cautious in your job, you are being paid for your job. It's your responsibility to complete the task within the deadline and inform the progress. If something is not lined up and not functioning then please try to resolve at your end, it's not everything that you can't handle, you can handle it very to getting results on the time, if you have to be Furious that be it, remember you are earning your paycheck. People will always ignore a good nature. 

Be prepared for yourself and be bad. 

when you are in charge of the job then do it very properly.

Assess the situation. 

You can find most of the answer when your assessing the situation of the task, assessing the functionality of your fellow colleagues, team members can give you most of clear picture at the first attempt. You know what time is take to complete a task and you are realising that the person you are assigned the task is taking too much time then you have to be tell them and very straight manner this is the timeline and he or she is taking too much time. 


Observe the surrounding. 

when you are giving the task or your performing the task it doesn't mean that you have to forget about your surrounding, also keep watch on the surrounding, in your office at job you must be vigilant what is going on the other side, you have to keep your eyes open, if you have given the task which is already above your limit and your capacity, but other team is idle or less bothered, then keep the fact in the mind, let your superiors know very clearly. You can say that if they are not functioning properly then you don't have to be a flag bearer of goody hoody. 


Be strong on your words

Money time persons or not communicating properly because managers are pushing them to the limits, because they know the person is not going to answer back. It's your time to question and challenges same when you are overloaded with your task. 

Let's refer a classic example.

Mr greedy one is the manager of divine chocolates. His Subordinate is Mr needy one & they both running the division. 

They are doing good till Mr Greedy one decided to resign and go somewhere else. 

Surprisingly Mr Needy one is approach by the higher up's to to manage the complete division of divine chocolate till a new manager is appointed. 

Mr Needy one is agreed to take the responsibility.

He asked higher up’s : how long it will take to appoint new manager?

Higher up’s: it will take a month to appoint, why you have asked the question?

Mr Needy one: sir I can take the additional responsibility for one month but, if the searching continues and no one is appointed after 1 month then you have to appoint me as an interim manager & have to give temporary pay raise as Mr Greedy one was earning. 

In this scenario Mr Needy one has cleared in simple but strong words that he is ready to cooperate but with only certain period of time. 


Punish / expose the culprits

The culprits, a person who is highly manipulative to get you into trouble every time. You don't have to be very good with them. Don't like them to score easily. Fight back and show them what you are capable of. A person who is throwing stones must be exposed and punished. Because at work the reputation of being good is not enough. Your reputation must be fearsome. Because person will not take you seriously until you started to take yourself seriously. Don't let your manipulative colleagues and your opponents go easily. If they don't play fair then you also don't be fair. If somebody is trying to destroy you, then don't keep mum hits back with all your intelligence and ground work. Because information is a weapon that you cannot imagine how much information can work. Gather data, gather evidence, prepare everything you can and show them you are not fool as they think. 

Again being bad it's not a bad thing at all..

નોકરી માં પ્રગતિ નથી થતી, તો આગળ વધો, આ કાંઈ છેલ્લો વિકલ્પ નથી


નોકરી માં અટકી ગયા હોય એવી લાગણી ઘણા લોકોને થતી હોય છે, પણ  એક જ નોકરી ઉપર વળગી રહેવું એ પોતાની જ પ્રગતિ પોતાના જ હાથે રુંધવા બરાબર છે.

એક જ નોકરી પર લાંબો સમય કામ કર્યા પછી એક અસંતોષની લાગણી અનુભવાતી હોય છે, તમારા અંતર મનમાં એક દ્વંદ ચાલુ હોય છે કે ક્યારે અહીંથી છૂટીએ અને આગળ વધીએ. શાંત રીતે નવી તકો શોધવા ના તમારા પ્રયત્નો ચાલુ જ હોય છે. આ લાગણીનો ઉદભવ કદાચિત તમારા પ્રતિ સેવાતું દુર્લક્ષ ના પરિણામ સ્વરૂપ હોઈ શકે છે. તમે પોતાના પગાર વધારવાના પ્રયત્ન પણ  કરી જોયો હશે. પણ અંતમાં પરિણામ શૂન્ય જ હશે. 

તમે તમારી નોકરી ઉપર ઘણો સમય કાઢ્યો હશે જેના પરિણામ સ્વરૂપ તમને પોતાને પણ એક અંદાજ આવી જશે કે ફલાણા ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશનમાં કે ફલાણા મેનેજર જોડે કે પછી ફલાણા કહેવાતા જોડે ઉપરીઓ જોડે ચર્ચા કરવી સંપૂર્ણપણે તમારા સમયની બરબાદી છે.

કંપનીના મેનેજમેન્ટ જોડે ચર્ચા-વિચારણા માટે સમય બરબાદ કરવા કરતા તમને નવી નોકરી શોધવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરવો એ વધારે યોગ્ય લાગ્યો હશે.

તમારા કામના પ્રત્યે સતત સેવાતું દુર્લક્ષ એ તમને એક અસંતોષની લાગણી તરફ દોરી જાય છે જેમાં ગુસ્સો મુખ્ય ભાગ હોય છે એટલે કોઈપણ નિર્ણય લેતા પહેલા શાંત ચિત્તે વિચાર ખૂબ જ જરૂરી છે, અને એટલા માટે જ પરિવર્તન તરફ જતા પહેલા પોતાના માટે થોડો સમય ફાળવવો ખૂબ જ જરૂરી છે.

તમારી નોકરી ઉપર બંધાવા માટે તમે કંઇ જાનવર નથી કે જે ફક્ત જ ખીલે બંધાઈ ગયા હોય છે. પ્રગતિ કરવી અને પોતાના ભલા માટે વિચારવું એ તમારો પોતાનો જન્મજાત અધિકાર છે.

જો તમે મહત્વકાંક્ષી અને અને પરિણામલક્ષી પ્રોફેશનલ છો, તો પછી તમારે પોતાના વિકાસ માટે દરેક તકોની ચકાસણી કરવી ખૂબ જ જરૂરી છે, કારણ કે મહત્વકાંક્ષી માણસો ઘણા સમય સુધી એક જ જગ્યા ઉપર કે એક જ સંસ્થામાં લાંબો સમય સુધી પોતાની સેવાઓ આપતા નથી અથવા તો જે તે સંસ્થા જેઓ સેવા આપી રહ્યા હોય છે તેમાં તેમનો પોતાનો એક એજન્ડા હોઈ શકે છે, જેમાં તેઓ પોતાના સ્વ મૂલ્યાંકન ની રીતો અપનાવીને થોડા જ વર્ષોમાં પોતાનું ધાર્યું પરિણામ મેળવી શકતા હોય છે.

મારો હેતુ એટલો જ છે કે તમને જો પોતાનો progress ના દેખાતો હોય તો પછી તમને પૂરો હક છે પોતાની જાત માટે વિચારવાનો અને આગળ વધવાનો. અહીંયા કોઈએ બંધ બેસતી પાઘડી પહેરવાની જરૂર નથી. એવો કોઈ સર્વ સામાન્ય સ્થાપિત નિયમ નથી કે માણસોએ એક જ ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશનમાં વર્ષો સુધી પોતાની સેવાઓ આપવી અથવા સમયાંતરે નિતનવા ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશનમાં કામ કરવું.

તમારી નોકરી તમારી જિંદગીમાં સર્વસામાન્ય સત્ય નથી, સત્ય છે તમારા પોતાના કુટુંબીઓ તમારા મિત્રો તમારા લાઈફ પાર્ટનર તમારા સપનાઓ તમારા પોતાની પેશન અને બીજું ઘણું બધું જે તમે જેના માટે તમે કામ કરી રહ્યા છો. તમને જો પોતાની વર્તમાન નોકરીમાં તમારા ટેલેન્ટ પ્રમાણે સમયસર વળતર ન મળતું હોય અથવા તો તમારી પ્રતિભા પ્રમાણે જો તમને કામ ન મળતું હોય તો તમારે નોકરી છોડવાનો પૂરો હક છે. કારણ કે તમારા કુટુંબ અને તમારા મિત્રો અને તમારી આસપાસના માણસો માટે તમે મહત્વ ધરાવો છો, તમારી નોકરી નહિ, કારણ તમારા કુટુંબીઓ તમારા મિત્રો અને તમારી આસપાસના માણસો, તમને ઓળખે છે તમારે કંપનીના માણસોને નહિ કે તમારા બોસને , નહીં કે તમારે કંપનીના બોર્ડ ઓફ ડિરેક્ટર ને. 

તમારા માટે આખી જિંદગી ફક્ત પબ્લિક ટ્રાન્સપોર્ટમાં માજ અવરજવર કરવી એક એ પૂરતું નથી. તમારા પોતાને એક નાનકડા one room kitchen નાનકડા મકાનમાં જિંદગી કાઢી નાખવી એ પચાસ વર્ષ પહેલા અથવા તો સો વર્ષ પહેલા સંતોષી સ્વભાવનું ઉદાહરણ હતું. આજે સંતોષ તમારા જિંદગીના પ્રોગ્રેસ માટે અથવા તો વિકાસ માટે એ સંતોષ ની લાગણી બાધારૂપ છે. સંતોષ પોતાની જરૂર તો માં રાખવો એ સારી બાબત છે પણ પોતાના વિકાસમાં સંતોષ રાખવો એ તદ્દન નિરર્થક છે. મારા મંતવ્ય પ્રમાણે ઉપરના ઉદાહરણ એ સામાન્ય માણસની ઈચ્છાઓ ને દર્શાવે છે. આજે સામાન્ય માણસને પોતાના ઘરની પોતાની એક કાર અથવા તો ઘણી બધી મહત્વકાંક્ષાઓ હોય છે. અને મહત્વાકાંક્ષાઓ રાખવા ઉપર કોઈ જીએસટી નથી. મહત્વકાંક્ષાઓ રાખવી અને એના માટે પ્રયત્નો કરવા એ સૌથી અગત્યનું છે. મહત્વકાંક્ષા અને પ્રગતિની ઈચ્છા વગર માનવજીવન શક્ય નથી.

આજના યુગમાં જે સુખ-સગવડો અને ભૌતિક સુખ સાધનો ઉપલબ્ધ છે એ કોઈને કોઈ રીતે મહત્વકાંક્ષા ને પ્રગતિના આડપેદાશ રૂપે જ ઉપજેલા છે.

આજે તમે ઇન્ટરનેટ વગર જીવનની કલ્પના પણ નહી કરી શકો, પોતાના વાહન વગર દૂર સુધી જવું એની તમને કલ્પના પણ નહી હોય, તમે કોઈ દિવસ તમારા વડીલો ને પૂછી જોજો કે ૭૦ વર્ષ પહેલા એક શહેરથી બીજા શહેર મુસાફરી કરવું કેટલું દુર હતું દુર્ગમ હતું, અને આજે તમારી પાસે ઘણા વિકલ્પો મોજૂદ છે. 


નવી નોકરી શોધતા પહેલા શાંત ચિત્તે વિચારવું ખૂબ જ જરૂરી છે. કારણકે તમે પોતાના કમ્ફર્ટ ઝોન માંથી બહાર આવીને નવા વાતાવરણમાં અથવા તો નવા ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશનમાં અથવા તો નવા જ ફિલ્ડમાં તમે જવાનું વિચારી રહ્યા છો. નવી નોકરી અથવા તો નવા સાહસ કરતા પહેલા માર્કેટ રિસર્ચ કરવું થોડું જરુરી છે, થોડુક ધ્યાન આપીને તમે પોતાની રીતે જ એનાલિસિસ કરી શકો છો, નવી નોકરીમાં આપતા પછી કે આપતા પહેલા ઓર્ગેનાઈઝેશનના ઇતિહાસ અને વર્તમાન ઉપર થોડું ધ્યાન આપો. તમારે સહકર્મીઓ તમારા મિત્રોને નવા નોકરીના સંદર્ભમાં પૂછો, તમને ચોક્કસ પણે જવાબ મળશે અને તમને એવી માહિતી પણ મળશે જે તમને પોતાને પણ ખબર નહી હોય, કારણકે આજના સમયમાં માહિતી એ શસ્ત્રની જેમ કામ કરે છે, ઉદાહરણરૂપે તમે ઇન્ટરવ્યૂ આપી દીધો, તમે સિલેક્ટ પણ થઇ ગયા પણ તમને ખબર જ નહી હોય કે જે સંસ્થા માટે તમે ઈન્ટરવ્યૂ આપ્યો છે, એ સંસ્થા નાણાંકીય રીતે સ્થિર નથી, પોતાના વર્તમાન કર્મચારીઓને પગાર આપવામાં જ ત્રણ કે ચાર મહિના પાછળ હોય છે, આ બધી માહિતી તમને તમારા મિત્રો તરફથી તમારા વર્તુળમાંથી તમારા ફેમિલી માંથી પણ મળી શકે છે, હવે તમે વિચાર કરો કે જે કંપનીની financial condition જ નબળી હોય તો પછી તમને સમયસર રીતે પગાર કઈ રીતે આપવાની છે અથવા તો તમે જોખમ લઈને નોકરી શરૂ કરી દો પણ છ મહિના પછી કે ચાર મહિના પછી બે વર્ષ પછી તમારી હાલત નવેસરથી નોકરી શોધવાની આવી જાય તો, ટૂંકમાં નવી નોકરી શોધતા પહેલા સાયન્ટિફિક રીતે એનાલિસીસ કરવું ઘણું જ જરૂરી છે. 

તમે તમારા અંગત મિત્રો અને શુભચિંતકો જોડે અંગત રીતે પોતાના વિકાસ માટે અને પ્રગતિ માટે ચર્ચા કરી શકો છો તેઓ જ તમને ઘણી સારી રીતે માર્ગદર્શન આપી શકે છે. અને પોતાના જીવનમાં એક મિત્ર એવો હોવો જોઈએ કે જેની સાથે તમે દિલ ખોલીને ચર્ચા કરી શકો. મેં મારા મિત્રો જોડે ચર્ચા કરી કે મારે હવે જીવનમાં આગળ વધવું છે એક જ ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશનની અંદર અમુક વર્ષ કાઢ્યા પછી મને લાગ્યું કે મને જે અત્યારે વળતર મળી રહ્યું છે એના કરતાં ઘણું સારું અને અનુભવ અને પ્લેટફોર્મ મને બીજા ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશનમાં મળી શકશે. મારા મિત્રો મારા વિચાર સાથે સંમત થયા અને તે લોકોએ મને ખૂબ જ સારી રીતે માર્ગદર્શન આપ્યું. અને તમે પોતાની રીતે પણ વિચારી શકો છો તમે પોતાની જાતને પૂછો કે તમારી સૌથી પહેલી નોકરી કઈ હતી અને આજે તમે ક્યાં છો, તમારા ઘણા સવાલના જવાબ તમને પોતાની અંદરથી જ મળી જશે, આજના સમયમાં એક જ ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશનની અંદર દસ-પંદર વર્ષ કે ૨૫ વર્ષ કાઢી નાખવા એ જુનવાણી વિચારસરણી છે. 

no offence here પણ દરેકની વિચારસરણી એક હોતી નથી, આજે પણ તમે તમારા આજુબાજુ ઘણા માણસો ને જોતા હશો કે જે એક જ વર્ષની અંદર દસ-પંદર વર્ષ કાઢી નાખતા હોય છે, અને તેમનો પ્રોગ્રેસ એટલો થતો નથી, બીજી બાજુ તેમને જોઈને એની અંદર તેમની જોડે નોકરી શરૂ કરનારા માણસો ઘણા આગળ નીકળી જતા હોય છે. 

આજના વર્તમાન નાણાંકીય યુગમાં વફાદારી એની જ રખાય કે જે સૌથી વધારે પૈસા આપતો હોય કારણ આજનો યુગ જ મૂડીવાદી યુગ છે.અને મૂડીવાદી યુગની આ આડપેદાશ છે એ તમારે નક્કર રીતે સ્વીકારી લેવું જોઈએ.

આ શબ્દો મારા સૌથી પ્રિય કટારલેખક મોહમ્મદ માંકડ ના છે.

તમારે વર્તમાન નોકરી જો તમને થોડું ઘણું પણ સંતોષ આપતી હોય છતાં પણ થોડો ઘણો સંતોષ એ તમારી સફળતા માટે પૂરતો નથી. અને કદાચ તમે સંતોષના આવરણ હેઠળ પોતાની જાતને છેતરી રહ્યા હોય છે. પોતાની જાત ને છેતરવા કરતા પોતાની રીતે અંતર સંવાદ કરવો વધારે યોગ્ય છે. તમારી નોકરીમાં સંતોષી લાગણી એ ખૂબ જ ખતરનાક છે તમને કદાચ ખબર પણ નહી હોય ક્યાં સંતોષની લાગણી તમારી સ્પર્ધાત્મક પ્રતિભાને અંદરો અંદર મારી રહી હોય છે જે તમને ઘણા લાંબા સમય પછી ખબર પડશે જ્યારે તમારી પાસે સમય જ નહિ હોય.

તમારી જાતને જ પહેલા પૂછો કે તમને પોતાને કામ પ્રમાણે વળતર મળી રહ્યું છે કે નથી તમને જવાબ તમારી અંદરથી જ મળી જશે. 

માણસ સૌથી પહેલા પોતાની જાત સાથે લડવું જોઈએ કારણ જાત સાથે તો પોતાની જ પ્રતિભાને બહાર લાવી શકો છો, જ્યારે તમે નવી નોકરી અથવા તો નવા સાહસ નો તમે વિચાર કર્યા હોય છે એ ક્ષણથી જ તમે પોતાની જાત સાથે સ્પર્ધા ચાલુ કરી દીધી હોય છે, કારણ કે જેથી તમે વિચારો કે તમારે કંઈક નવું સાહસ કરવું છે અને તમારે કમ્ફર્ટ ઝોનમાં થી તમે બહાર આવવા માંગો છો,કંઈક નવું કરવા માંગતા હોય છે ત્યારે તમે થોડું વધારે ધ્યાન આપતા હોઉ છો. આજ થોડું વધારે ધ્યાન અને તમારી સ્પર્ધાત્મક લાગણી તમને નક્કર રીતે સફળતા તરફ દોરી જઇ શકે છે.

તમે તમારી નોકરી પણ ઘણા વર્ષો વિતાવ્યા છે અને તમે છતાં પણ સંતોષ નથી અને નોકરીમાં બેસી રહેવા કરતા આગળ વધવું વધારે યોગ્ય છે કંપની તમને તમારી સર્વિસ માટે પગાર આપે છે તમે કંપનીની અંદર જોબ નથી કરતા ખરેખર તમે કંપનીની અંદર પોતાની સેવાઓ આપો છો અને કંપનીએ તમારી સ્વરૂપે તમને પગાર આપે છે તમે કંઈ ઓર્ગેનાઇઝેશનના ગુલામ નથી અને એવું પણ લખ્યું નથી કે તમારી કંપનીની મજૂરી આખી જિંદગી કરવી. ઘણા પ્રોફેશનલ્સ અનેે કોર્પોરેટ કર્મચારીઓ એક અજાણતા ભયથી ઘેરાયેલા હોય છે, જે ભયના કારણે નવુ સાહસ ખેડવા ના વિચાર માત્ર થી જ ડરતાં હોય છે. 
  
ફક્ત ચાર જ કારણો અજાણતા ભય ને વર્ણવવા પૂરતા છે. 

  • અસફળતાનો ભય
  • વધારે પડતો જ આરામ
  • મહત્વકાંક્ષા નો અભાવ
  • નકાર ની સ્થિતિ




અસફળતાનો ભય 

આ સૌથી મોટું અને સ્થળો સામાન્ય કારણ છે કે જેનાથી ઘણા કર્મચારીઓ અને પ્રોફેશનલને પરિવર્તનની ઈચ્છા નથી હોતી. તેમની પોતાની ઈચ્છાઓ અને મહત્વકાંક્ષાઓ હોય છે પણ અસફળતાને ભયના કારણે તેઓ આગળ વધતા નથી. 

માણસના સ્વભાવમાં સુરક્ષા ની સ્થિતિ એ પ્રગતિની અવરોધ પેદા કરે છે કારણકે માણસ સુરક્ષા અનુભવતો હોય છે, એ જ સુરક્ષા લાબા ટાઇમ પછી અથવા તો તે જ સમયે કંઈક નવું કરવાના અથવા તો પરિવર્તન અથવા તો નવા વિચારો ના દ્વાર બંધ કરી દે છે.

પણ તેઓને જરાપણ અણસાર નથી કે જોખમ અથવા તો જિજ્ઞાસાની પૂર્તિ એ જ માનવજીવનની ઉત્ક્રાંતિના મૂળભૂત પરિબળ છે.

ભવિષ્યની ચિંતા કરવી નિરર્થક છે કારણ કે એ તમારા હાથમાં જ નથી, તમે નવા સાહસ માટે વૈજ્ઞાનિક રીતે અને તાર્કિક રીતે મૂલ્યાંકન કરી શકો છો. 

વધારે પડતો જ આરામ

ઘણા પ્રોફેશનલ્સ આ જ કારણને લીધે પ્રગતિની તકો છોડી જતા હોય છે, કારણકે તેમને પોતાના આસપાસ આરામ મળતો હોય છે. તેમની નોકરીમાં અથવા તો સાહસમાં પણ ઘણી સારી રીતે કામ થતું હોય છે અને એ જ સંતોષ ની લાગણી ના લીધે આરામ નો ઉદભવ થતો હોય છે. 
યાદ રાખજો કે તમારે જીવનમાં આગળ વધવું હોય તો  આરામ ની લાગણી ને બાય બાય  કરવી પડે. મારે વર્તુળની અંદર ઘણા માણસો અને પ્રોફેશનલ એવા છે કે જે પોતાની નોકરીમાં એક દાયકાથી વધારે સમય થઈ ગયો છે છતાં પણ એ કોઈ પણ નવી તકો જેમના માટે બહુ સારી હોય છે અને પ્રગતિની સારી જ સંભાવના હોય છે એ તક ઉપર ધ્યાન જ નથી આપતા, તેમનાં માટે સુરક્ષા અને કમ્ફર્ટ પ્રાયમરી છે. 

યાદ રાખજો જેટલા પણ સફળ માણસો છે એમણે ક્યારેય આરામ નથી અનુભવ્યો. તેમના માટે આરામ લક્ષ્યની પ્રાપ્તિ પછી આવે છે. 


મહત્વકાંક્ષા નો અભાવ

મહત્વકાંક્ષા નો અભાવ એ સૌથી મોટું કારણ છે પ્રગતિના અવરોધ માટે, કારણ કે પોતાની અસુરક્ષાની લાગણી અને વધારે પડતો આરામ એ તમને અંદરથી પોતાની મહત્વકાંક્ષા ને મારી નાખવા માટે ના સૌથી મોટા કારણો છે, તમે મહત્વકાંક્ષા નથી એમ કહીને પોતાની જાતને છેતરી રહ્યા છો, જિંદગીના અંત માં કે એ વખતે જ થોડી હિંમત કરી હોત તો આજે મારી પાસે કંઈક અલગ જ હોત, એના કરતા અમલમાં મૂકવું ઘણું જરૂરી છે. કારણ મહત્વકાંક્ષા તમને બે જ રસ્તા તરફ દોરી જઇ શકે છે એક છે સફળતા બીજી છે નિષ્ફળતા, તો નિષ્ફળ થયા તો સફળ થવાનો રસ્તો હોય છે. પણ પ્રયત્ન જ કર્યા વગર ખાલી વિચારો કરવા એ આકાશ ઉપર વાક્ય લખવા બરાબર છે.


નકાર ની સ્થિતિ

આ પોતાની જાતને સૌથી આકરી રીતે સજા આપવા બરાબર છે. તમે તમારી જાતને કહી રહ્યા છો કે તમે બહારના વાતાવરણમાં કે કંઈ નવું શીખવા માટે ફીટ નથી, આ રીતે વર્તીને તમે પોતાની જાતને જ છેતરી રહ્યા છો.

મેં મારી જિંદગીમાં ઘણા એવા પ્રોફેશનલ જોયા છે જે પોતાની જાતને આજ જુઠ અર્ધસત્ય વારંવાર કહી રહ્યા હોય છે, જ્યારે તેમને ખબર જ હોય છે કે રિયાલિટી શું છે. વાસ્તવિક રીતે તેઓ પોતાની જાતને અર્ધસત્ય વેચી રહ્યા હોય છે કારણ એમણે ધારી લીધું છે કે ૫૦ વર્ષ ની ઉંમરના માણસને નોકરી કોણ આપે અરે ભાઈ પચાસ વર્ષે નોકરી આપે કે ના આપે એ તમે કેમ ધારી લીધું, પ્રયત્ન કર્યા વગર જ પોતાની જાતને વારંવાર છેતરવી એ દુર્બળતા ની નિશાની છે. 

પ્રયત્ન કર્યા વગર કાંઈ પણ સ્વીકારી લેવું એ હાર્યા કરતા મોટી હાર છે. 

અંતમાં “ જીવનમાં પરિવર્તનની રાહ ન જુઓ, પોતે જ પરિવર્તન બનો” .

Stuck on your Job too long. Don't wait for the change. Be the change.

How long you have to stay at your current job.

This thought maybe comes to your mind once in a while that your current job it is not adequate enough to settle your expenses and ambition both.

You have spent a very good time in your current job and waited too much long for your progress but it is not enough and you’re thinking to move out as quickly as possible. You are searching new jobs silently and it will pay off but at the same time you are thinking maybe or may not be you have to discuss with your seniors for pay raise,  if and your room for the negotiation left for you.  

You don't have to jump on the conclusion very easily since you spend a long time and you know if there is no possibility or no possibility for any progress left for you.

Before making any decision you have to think rationally, thinking about a new job ,new  roles of responsibility, are the new areas want to explore so what you have to do is just think calmly before taking a decision.

You don't have to be stuck at your job forever. Everyone has a right to grow and they have their own goals and dreams.

If you are ambitious and goal oriented then you have to explore every possibility of a growth, most of the goal oriented and ambitious persons don't stay at the job very long or if the stay on the job they get what they want, it means they get the promotion they get the desired salary the pretty much acquires everything what they have dream about.

Your job is not absolute in your life, your family, your friends, your spouse, your girlfriend, your dream, your passion it's everything you care about matter the most.  Switching a new job is not very big thing if you are not getting enough exposure and Pay Scale in a current job then there is no meaning to continue with the job. You cannot to travel in a public transport for your rest of your life. You cannot live in a shoebox apartment, your dreams matters the most. You already dream about a nice studio apartment, a very good car, and expensive vacations at Islands, this is all a normal person has a dream of which is neither wrong in my point of view and it should not be wrong in any point of you. Because the evolution is the absolute. Without evolution the human race cannot be exist as today we have witnessed. You can say we have explore every possibilities in every field, human races exploring the possibility of the longer life which is not possible for 50 years back. In the automation we have living in the golden age. You can see you most advanced robotics, a cell phone revolution, the internet age. This is all a part of evolution which is embedded in humans throughout the times.

First of all you have to be a very observant about your current job. Please do market research ask your family, your colleagues, recruiting agency that what you are getting right now it is relevant which your experience and talent. Most of the answers you will get definitely if you look around you ask your friends, ask about your colleagues, they will definitely guide you what you should get as per your talent and experience.

I have ask my friends, should I switch job  at this moment he definitely agree with me that I am not getting enough exposure of my talents they advise me to grow more because they have told me that you should get a much more exposure, with your relevant experience and your talent you must go somewhere else that you can get more benefits.  Needless to say they are right, they’ve told me very accurate and I have taken their advice and moved on you won't believe in last 13 years I had switched about four companies and today I am getting acquaintance which I don't get if I am stuck to the one single job at the one single organisation. I have not get any benefits at my first job so I moved on the other job. And the journey continues till date. I am not advising anything about here think rationally and take decision very wisely because you can see nowadays doing job in a single organisation about 10-15 years it is not very right thing to do unless you have a goal of your own. Today's economic culture you should get enough exposure at the time to sharpen yourself and grow yourself.

In your current job it's maybe gives you a little bit of satisfaction but the title satisfaction cannot give you the success what you want, satisfaction is good think but satisfaction always comes to in your needs but its satisfaction must come not for your progress. Because once you have a feeling of satisfaction at your job it's probably kills you internally, that you are not aware of it, slowly it kills your killing instinct and comparative nature of yours. Which you will be find a later there will be no time.

Please ask for yourself if you are getting rewarded enough at your current job or you want to get more and you want to grow more, you will definitely find the answer from your inner self.

People should be competed with them self to sharpen the skills. When you are thinking about the new responsibility and taking any job it's already competition with yourself because you are stepping out of your comfort zone which is very good for yourself ,why is that because you are competing with yourself we don't have to be compared with your colleagues and managers and other person when you are getting out of your comfort zone, you will be focusing extra and smartly which is a very good thing and in my opinion when you are focusing extra and super active that success will definitely come for you in the end.

You waited so many years in the job to grow yourself and you are still not satisfied, then you should move out immediately because you are not bounded with any feelings with your company. company gives your pay check for your services, you are not doing the job anymore, you are getting reimbursement of your services. If not getting enough reimbursement of the services. You have to go with other option where you can find a suitable reimbursement. I am calling reimbursement not a pay scale because in my opinion after spending plenty years in the job. You are smart enough to figure out that you are giving the services to the company you are not doing job anymore. Yes you heard that right you are not doing job.  You are hired for your services not for a job which is any robot can do, robot can perform a task with a programming language.

The reason behind not changing the job are very few and simple.

  1. Fear of failure
  2. Too much comfort
  3. Lack of ambition
  4. State of denial.


Fear of failure

This is the most absolute reason that people are not changing the job even though they have a dream and ambition. Deep down they have a fear that they might be failing in any job and could not be survive.

This is conserved in human nature when they are safe they stop to explore new ideas.

But they don't know without taking risk or curiosity the human race cannot be evolved.

Stop worrying about the future you cannot control it what is the outcome. You can be preparing for every scenario by analysing the facts and figures. For the new job you can check the company's history, company's performance, company's financial conditions, you can also cross check with their ex colleagues, your friends, your family will know sure about them they will definitely guide you. Just ask person whom you can trust.


Too much comfort.

It is happened with many professionals when the find too much comfort. Too much comfort is not a good thing as a saying. It’s too good to be true what it seems. Remember one thing ‘’good is not enough to be a great’’. you want to be a great achieve something live the good behind and explore for the greatness. I've seen my friends and colleagues who just cannot explore new possibilities because they have spent more than a decade in a single job and trust me in there were not got a promotion which they have actually deserves. Because of the comfort they come at the place do the job and go home.

Remember all the successful people find the comfort after what they have dream and achieved till then they are restless, this is not for the job, this is for your life.

Lack of ambition.

It's correlate with the previous reason. Too much comfort will lead you to a false feeling of the satisfaction. And deep down you know with this false feeling, you are cheating which your inner self. Don't get too much satisfaction which can kill your ambition and competitive nature.

State of denial

This is the most punishing way to yourself. You keep saying to yourself that you might not fit out there. This is your last job you are an age of 45, you will not get another job people will not hire me, I am not fit for another job.

Believe me I seen the persons in my life there keeps telling the lie to themselves that they may or may not be fit somewhere else because their age.  The thinking about the families they didn't even update the resume, because they don't want to move out due to that denial stage.

I mean no offence but that's true.

Show on closing note just wants to put simple quote. ‘’Don't wait for the change, be the change’’.

At workplace fight your opponent with a smile.



Opponents in every organisation can be found in a disguise of your colleagues, friends and even they pretend to be your well-wisher.

But that's not your well-wisher they have very secret agenda of their own, maybe it is against you.

They don't make your life very easy, they want you the land in trouble for each and every task, The want you  to fail miserably so they can make a fun out of you and even make u scapegoat.

This one of kind peoples is very thirsty for your blood and they are very cruel beyond your imagination. I always admired healthy competition. Because your competition will lead you to excellence which cannot be taught in the institute. It has to be earning in your own way. But your opponents don't play fairly. Their only agenda is to destroy you or getting your position or maybe getting your clients, stealing your valuable work.

As in your job you can find and spot this kind of people, they are always a sweet talker but also a back biter at the same time.

Opponents using every tricks to get you in trouble, watching your mistakes at micro/nano level and vilify with their supervisor or managers to destroy you or even to get you in a very troubled position.

You have to be a very aware with your position and your surroundings, & it must be carefully analysed at the same time.

I classified this kind of people in four different categories.

  1. Sweet talkers and backbiters.
  2. Politicians.
  3. Lazy.
  4. Detectives

Sweet Talker & Back-biters.


This kind of opponents always pretend to be very nice with you and talking very sweet all the time, bosses and their supervisors, they are like a journalist they give a frame to frame Deeply analysis of your work. They just want to compare themselves a little bit higher than you.







How to deal with them:  needless to say that it keeps your communication which you, don't share too much information with them it is dangerous to show your wound to the Predator. Keep your talk your plans with you only, don't share full information. If you have to share, give just a little bit of information you can share. Ensure your assignments are fully prepared, double check for clarity, so the Predator cannot find loopholes.


Politicians





These kinds of people are smart enough to hide themselves and may or may not be communicating with you directly. They observe your every move every decision you take and also keep them updated about yourself with various resources. This kind is always like a Shadow of The Boss. This people are always spotted with their Boss explaining each and every move, what can be done, what is going on with other teams etc...





How to deal with them: to score a level with this kind of people. You need to be updated with your progress assignments. Update your work regularly with your boss and your real friends, colleagues and make a statement periodically what you are doing. It implicates that you are aware what you are doing so this politicians cannot make a game out of you. And sometime you can also make a move for them. If they are playing the game, periodically you should also strike with your best moves.


Lazy


The most common kind of opponents in every office in the every corner of the world are the most idiotic and lazy person. They always come late in the office with excuses.The excuses come from very vivid imagination of their mind. They don't complete the work on time they always stick to the chair and don’t move a little bit. They don't communicating properly with their colleagues and peers. They are excellent manipulators. They manipulate their teammates to do the dirty jobs for them. They always come at last moment with a very pitiful face requesting to complete assignments for them. And if you say no they can manipulate the boss to do their job for you.


How to deal with them: you just have to be very clear with them. You can easily say you are working with your assignment. You don't have a spare time to do their job. You can go to your boss and saying “I am already neck to neck with my assignments and I don't have a spare time to do other assignments even if it even if it is requested by this person”. You just have to focus on your own task and politely say no.


Detective


This type of opponents you cannot spot them easily. They are so much hidden in the plain sight. You cannot even imagine what this kind of people are doing for living. For them job is a second priority. Their first priority is always to find whatever is useful to the rival camp or the boss. This people worked very discreetly and communicating deeply & silently that you don't have any idea. They don't belong to any camp or don't belong to any superiors and the bosses and the managers. They want to gather information for themselves and they keep using for the advantage like for the promotion or getting very easy assignments or getting favors from the superiors. Mainly this kind of people are very ambitious, they want to grow a short amount of time with the help of the information and the manipulation.

How to deal with them: in the office culture all colleagues and her friends are talking casually about every person, assignments, company policy, the bosses, top management everything you can discuss in the corporate. You have to maintain your innocence if you are discussing important matter regarding your current assignment, your growth, your performance appraisal your boss's trouble and experience with the management, you have to be very careful what you are saying. Don't talk too much specifically, where more than two persons are involved. keep a very short but effective communication. You can discuss with your friend who you can trust but don't share and discuss if more persons are gathering around u. You have to be very discreet about your talking and discussing your future plans, current plans and assignment, what would you name it keep very personal with you and share the information only the person who can you trust and you have to be use your find sense of wisdom.

This all types are very notorious and want to go under your nerves, but you have to be very careful and maintain your analytical & polite approach, so you can fight with a smile.

Closing note:  I want to just advise to all of my fellow professionals, you can complete with anyone but you keep competing with yourself, keep yourself organised, keep yourself educated keep yourself enthusiastic to maintain your high level of excellence in the field. When you are competing with yourself so you cannot imagine you already killed half of the competition why because you are competing with yourself to keep yourself up in the position.

Let's people do their mistakes they learn from it. 

People,friends, colleagues sometimes you are worrying too much about them. 

Stop worrying about them let them do whatever they want to do. 

It is not that you left them in the middle of a road, and throwing them under the bus. 

You can find this kind of people around you at everywhere. at the workplace, family functions. your elderly keep quoting the worries for the loved ones

At workplace you know that your colleague’s approach is killing him/her and maybe ruining his career or he or she can be landed in some serious trouble. 

That you don't want that scenario with them. You are telling them please don't do this such a thing,  make your approach correct or telling them or advising them that it is not the correct way to do the job but they  don't listening to you. And you keep worrying for themselves. They don't listen to you, they don't fall for your advice, they don't even pretend to be listening to you. So in the contrast you are worrying for them but they don't listen, you just show your concern in every way possible believing that it's your own moral duty to guide them, or to stop them doing some serious harmful acts. 

human nature is evolved through times. Without mistakes and the learning behind it humans definitely cannot be evolved. You know that your friend or colleague is doing something wrong and you are keep guiding them or telling them don't do that that way or do the other way or do something else. It's the way of possibility and probability or the perception is different. it's simple maybe you are right or maybe you are wrong or maybe the opposite side is right or maybe wrong. You cannot predict the outcome because there is no such thing as control.you cannot control others lives and decision you can influence them manipulate them. but the controlling others it's not going to be very easy it's highly unlikely you can do the things but in the end it's still be not good enough to let the people know what outcome will come from actions. 

For the real life incident I want to quote here. 

  • One of my friend is very highly energetic and ambitious what's to do his own business. Where his family members and friends are worrying about him. They all presume and assume that he may or may not be successful with the venture. doing 9 to 5 p. M job. It's a very good option for the middle class families like them. doing business it's not rightful at that time. 
  • But he ignores all the warnings all Advisers all the worries from his loved ones and continue to taking risk and setting up his own business in fail at the moment but a geared up and after three years of intensive workout and doing many more efforts. He is running successful business in the present. So who is the wrong here the people who is worrying about him or my friend who just keep ignore the worries and moved on. 

  • He learned from his own experience and do the correct way and keep evolving himself and doing the very best at the present. 


Another real life incident I want to put here it's my own experience. 


  • One of my colleague is very good with his work and dedication but I think that the time he needs a little extra push so he can grow further and on some more bucks by exploding new opportunities.
  • He had ask me to explore new possibilities for his employment at my workplace and in my circle if I can find a suitable job for him. And he is my friend so I start to find a suitable job for him. I give recommendation to one of my boss on immediate basis.
  • And interview call had arranged for him and everything is set up for him but surprisingly he didn't show up at the interview and I am asking him why the hell didn't you show up or not showing some courtesy to your fellow friend. 
  • He was on seventh heaven and told me to not to find any job he maybe or may not be doing job in the same field he might be looking other fields to explore and getting some more exposure of the other side. I am literally wording about him calls busy guy has a 15 years of experience in the same field which I am currently working and suddenly he want to wind up the things around him and start a new chapter. I was worried for him how this guy survive and I keep communicating with him for two months but after lengthy Communications I came to conclusion that “he is not worthy of my worry and not necessarily I am paying a very much extra attention to him since is not caring about himself. So why I have to worry about him when is not aware of about his own well being. I let him go and do his own stuff surprisingly after 6 years sudden meeting I came to know that he is failed miserably with his last three jobs at couldn't find a proper decent job with his experience in the field. So he decided to take a job it's not even really a job he become estate broker. It's the best thing that he chooses the other jobs despite of my advice. But you learn the Hard Way when you fall down. He is doing great after failing hard which is never going to be in my capabilities to explain him. Let  the time do the job and you let it go when you find the similar scenario. 


Why am sharing this cause you will find the real life people around you. For them you are feeling that he or she might be doing something wrong but they don't even listen to you so what to do you are explaining them every situation but they don't listen so let them go. They will learn from their own mistakes. And when they come back don't insult or criticized, just welcome them back. Because they already learned the lesson.

Employees are not assets. They are growth partners.




Employees are the assets. This is the most ridiculous and the old fashion Punch line. We have ever heard. In every speech in the corporate function or any other get together every manager every ceo’s are always mentioning employees are the assets. 

They didn't know what an asset means?

An asset is an economic resource. Anything tangible or intangible that can be owned or controlled to produce value and that is held by a company to produce positive economic value is an asset. Simply stated, assets represent value of ownership that can be converted into cash (although cash itself is also considered an asset).[1]

According to the definition of asset it is represented the value of the ownership and can be converted into cash. 

Another mean asset are lifeless, assets have no feelings. Assets mean representing of financial or economic value. This mentality has to be changed because in every major Organization’s owners are thinking that employees are not the assets. They are equally partners for the growth of the organization. Because assets cannot be make a decision on very on. Growth partners can make a decision; can handle the task very deliberately. Money employers think all the employees are assets, and therefore get repeatedly mentioning the same. Assets have economical or financial value just like your organization’s market share, manufacturing facility for the research and testing facility these are the assets, not the employees. 

You cannot simply state that employees are the Assets of the company. This thing has to be very sounds ridiculous and most absurd. Today is the wave of the capitalism everybody has their own financial goal or another thinking to get higher reimbursement of the services.

Today's employees are smart goal oriented, and practically much more self-driven in compared to a decade ago corporate scenario.

In to the Great and Immortal words of Richard Branson.

Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients.

This shows that the scenario has been changed over the years; peoples are human being not as an asset. If you give freedom and proper guidance to employees they can be very good growth partners for the organization. Satisfaction and respect to the job they are the most important to any employee. Pay scale is always comes on a first priority but right now employees don't hesitate to go out from the door when they don't get any respect or satisfaction or a very small amount of appreciation. 

After all they are the human beings they have feelings they do care about their job, tasks, and their companies. but eventually their boss or the managers  are very terrible to do the job,  they Constantly neglect importance of the employee. They humiliate many of employees, who deserve respect in their position, but the managers are very much afraid, they think employees get a very much higher position and his/her own position will be in Jeopardy, for that doesn’t give the employee a chance to work with their own freedom. The constant neglecting and the absence of appreciation leads employees to the frustration and this always are a main reason for the resignation an employee.

Nowadays a much more human approach is needed towards employee engagement and Management. Much more appreciation and recognition methods needs to be applied. In the world of capitalism today employee will not hesitate to end engagement in the organization.

In my view companies should change the approach towards it must be more human and ergonomic.

Companies’ respective heads the human resources managers and the Talent managers must be working very synchronization so they can monitor the employees satisfaction and the engagement towards job. Which can be leading to the higher productivity and higher profitness to the organization where employee satisfaction its put on a high priority. Client satisfaction is also important but organization cannot underestimate the engagement and the satisfaction of their employees.

Employees Satisfaction can be monitor with internal survey,  with the time to time rewarding or incentive management program, talent recognition program when you can reward employees productive output, it's must be noticed with respective managers and their colleagues. 

It can create a healthy competition and self-Awareness of self-evaluation of the employee’s engagement and their output.   

You can't tell employee each and every day what do and what should not to do. With  the recognition program and the rewarding mechanism its creating a healthy competitive surrounding which is very grateful, what I have observed in my 13 years of Corporate life. Recognition and respect of the Talent, significantly improves contribution towards the organization. 

It creates self-evaluation process among others wish you cannot provide with the intensive and lengthy one way communicated training. Training is also important but the training does not work on full audience you can't expect every member in the training program is going to be excellent or they can understand a fully.  Without talent recognition and rewarding program employee engagement surely compromise the competitive instinct. 

Let's say  if you are working in organization from a very large number of  years. your engagement your output your profile is impeccable, when your engagement, your output is not be measured enough and it's going to be neglected for each and every year’s performance appraisal. What do you think the employee can stay longer in the situation? Of course not every employee is not the same most of the times people leaving within a 1 or 2 years of services when the talent is not be respected or their engagement is not rewarded. 
It's a responsibility of the company’s think tank. I have seen only few of companies in the India are very much taking care of their employees. Other corporate houses are not smart enough to invest in employees.  They just keep following old ideology. 

It's really disappointing when you say that peoples are leaving organization with the lightning speed. It's not every time you can blame the employee it must be checked with the employer themselves. How they are treating the employees how to ensure they keep working and keep motivated. Indian corporate culture it's still now surrounded with the old philosophy its must be changed. 

Employee engagement and satisfaction must be put on priority for even better of the organizations and the employee themselves.
