If you don't have an attitude then gets some.


                    
  
There are two Definitions of an attitude as below, 

1.     A settled way of thinking or feeling about something.

2.     Truculent or uncooperative behavior.

Being in the corporate world, it’s no easy job, we often found ourselves in a Do or die situation, or sometimes we can’t decide what where to act or showing our concerns, views on the topic, situation or assignments.

It is basis behavior of average corporate employee, when our superior asked about any additional duties, projects, assignments, we generally don’t have choices, caz our seniors have already decided our fate. Many times we knew that any new duties, projects, assignments, couldn’t bring any new joys to us caz we had already neck down with our current assignments.

Mr. X has Similar kind of situation, let's have a look at it. 

When u gets a call or memo stating that: Mr. X meets me in a meeting room we have to discuss new Projects in pipeline.

You get cautious when u called upon to discuss new projects. You got trapped in past because you had not enough courage / analytical views to strengthen your case.   

In this situation what should be done here are the some quick thinking & tips for your ref.

  •     Prepare your Current projects, assignments overview, your Role of responsibilities; make an analytical view for it, which includes lifecycle of projects, profitability, and accountability.

  •    Prepare your liability matrix (for yourself only) see if you can handle any other additional duties.

  •      Tried to get some information on a new project, because, you can’t afford to mislay a project which will brings you a more exposure, intensive, more bucks in your Pockets.   

  •      Prepare Quaternaries for your New Role & Scope for new Project.

                                                                                                                            
Now when time comes tom the meeting room, you can go Confident, Go wise

Mr. Boss:  Mr. X, You know we have awarded new projects to our team & we have to do it.  You will be the Sr. Executive (Operations & Site Management) for that.

Mr. X:  Mr. Boss I am Grateful to u awarding me new Projects, I am happily about it, I think I can deliver better if you can help me with my current assignments. :

Mr. Boss: what kind of help Mr. X? 

Mr. X: As you know I have handling two Projects at same time & I have been helping in two other projects as a consultant. It’s been a very rigid time schedule for me to perform, if you can lay off some Assignments form my desk so I can deliver Better.  

Mr. Boss: Mr. X. I think your Proposal is right let me have a think about it. I have to see what I can do? Meanwhile you can start with new Project.

Mr. X:  I had made it clear to you in the first Sentence; I can deliver better if you reorganize my responsibilities.

Mr. Boss: Don’t Show Me the Attitude, you have to do it.

Mr. X: it’s not the attitude as you think but it is my analytical view on my current & future Assignments. If I recall it correctly as of a year before ‘’ you have assigned me a new projects which had already consumes my entire timetable & I had to Performed anyway I have done it through late night shifts & even worked on weekends.   If you still thinks this is an attitude, yes this is my attitude to words fair Distribution of responsibilities. I had agreed to you in the past because I had given my word & I had given no choice to reorganize my responsibilities.  Now it’s your chance to fair play.

Mr. Boss: Hmmm. Let me think if I can spare some of your Current responsibilities to others.

Mr. X: Thanks for accepting my Request. Upon on your Confirmation I will start new project.


Sometimes you have to think of yourself for your own grater good. Cause in corporate you have to suit up for yourself don’t except help from others.

કોર્પોરેટમાં ફક્ત મિત્રો નહીં - સહયોગીઓ, પણ બનાવો




આજના વર્તમાન કોર્પોરેટ સમયમાં અસ્તિત્વ ટકાવવું એટલુ જ મુશ્કેલ છે જેટલું સીમા પારની લડાઈ લડવી.

આજના કોર્પોરેટ યુગમાં મિત્રો બનાવવા કરતા સહયોગી બનાવવા વધારે ઉપયોગી છે કારણ કે મિત્રો કરતા સહયોગી વધારે સારી ગરજ પૂરી પાડે છે.

સહયોગી ફક્ત તમારા વિભાગમાં જ હોય એવો કોઈ સર્વ સામાન્ય સિદ્ધાંત નથી. સહયોગીઓ તમારી જવાબદારીનાં વર્તુળની અંદર અને બહાર હોવા જરૂરી છે.

કોર્પોરેટ કલ્ચર ઘણી કંપનીઓમાં બે કે તેથી વધારે છાવણીઓમાં વહેચાઈ જતું હોય છે. એ કહેવાતી છાવણીઓનાં વડા કોઈ બટાલિયનનાં કેપ્ટનથી ઓછા નથી હોતા. તેમના માટે કંપનીનું હિત જળવાય એના કરતા પોતાનાં વ્યક્તિગત હિત વધારે વહાલુ હોય છે.

કહેવાતા કેમ્પના વડા હંમેશા તેમના રસ અને છબી વિશે વિચાર કરતા હોય છે. તેમની કંપનીના પ્રોજેક્ટ, પ્રોડક્શન વિશે તેમની માહિતી માત્ર બેઠક માટે પૂરતી છે. તેમના જુનિયર પ્રસ્તુતિઓ, સ્થિતીઓ, પ્રોજેક્ટ રિપોર્ટ્સ વગેરે તૈયાર કરે છે.

સહયોગી એ તમારા માટે જીવનરક્ષક સાબિત થઇ શકે છે, ઘણી વખત સંગીન પરિસ્થિતિઓમાં આપણી પાસે કોઈ રસ્તો નથી હોતો , કોઈ આગોતરી ચેતવણી નથી મળતી. આવી સ્થિતિને નીચેના વર્ગીકૃત ઉદાહરણનાં સંદર્ભમાં જોઈએ.

બનાવ ૧. રાહુલ એક કોર્પોરેટ ગૃહમાં પ્રોજેક્ટ એન્જીનીયર છે. તેનું કામ, તેની જવાબદારી નિશ્ચિત કરવામાં આવેલી છે. તેને એક સામાન્ય મીટીંગમાં સામેલ થવાનું છે. પણ તેને ખબર નથી  મીટીંગમાં  તેની ઉપર ખોટી રીતે ગ્રાહકની માંગ પ્રમાણે નવા સ્પેસીફીકેશનની નોંધ પર્ચેઝ વિભાગમાં સમયસર નહી પહોંચડવા બદલ જવાબદાર ઠરાવનાર છે. પણ પર્ચેઝ અધિકારીએ રાહુલને આગોતરી રીતે ચેતવી દીધેલ છે કે ગ્રાહકની નવા સ્પેસીફીકેશનની નોંધ તેના ઉપરી અધિકારીએ ફક્ત બે દિવસ પહેલા જ આપેલ છે. હવેની લડાઈ રાહુલે જાતે લડવાની છે.

મિટિંગ રૂમનું દર્શ્ય

ઉપરી અધિકારી; રાહુલ, તમે નવા સ્પેસીફીકેશનની નોંધ પર્ચેઝ વિભાગમાં સમયસર નથી પહોંચાડી, મારે તમને કારણદર્શક મેમો કેમ ન આપવો તે કહો.

રાહુલ:  સર, ગ્રાહકનો પ્રથમદર્શી સંપર્ક તમે છો. અને તમે જ ગ્રાહક સાથે સીધી વાત કરવાની મનાઈ ફરમાવી છે. અને  આપણી કંપનીની પોલીસી પ્રમાણે ગ્રાહકની અધિક માંગણીની નોંધ, એડ ઓન કોસ્ટ sheetમાં કરવાની હોય છે. ત્યારબાદ તેને માર્કેટિંગ વિભાગના વડા પાસે મંજૂરી લેવા મોકલવાની હોય છે. જેને મંજૂરી મળ્યા પછી પર્ચેઝમાં આપવાની હોય છે. મારી પાસે આવી કોઈ જ માહિતી નથી. કે નથી તમારી સુચનાનો કોઈ ઈ મેલ.. હવે સર તમે મને કહો કયા આધાર પર તમે કારણદર્શક મેમો આપી શકો છો.


ઉપરી અધિકારી; ઓકે હું આ મેટર જોઈ લઈશ, તમારે ચિંતા કરવાની જરૂર નથી.

આ બનાવનાં સંદર્ભમાં જોઈએ તો રાહુલને એક સહયોગ મળ્યો છે. સહયોગી નહિ. હવે રાહુલ પોતે નક્કી કરશે કે તે પર્ચેઝ અધિકારીને સહયોગી બનાવશે કે નહિ.


બનાવ ૨. મિહિર એ પ્રોજેકટ એન્જિનિયર છે. અને તેના પ્રોજેક્ટ માટે તાત્કાલિક મટીરીયલને જરૂર છે. તેણે પર્ચેઝ વિભાગમાં આગોતરી નોંધ આપી રાખી છે. પણ તે મટીરીયલ ૯૦ દિવસ પહેલાં મળે તેની શક્યતાઓ ઘણી ઓછી છે. અને કંપનીએ ગ્રાહકને ૩૦ દિવસમાં પ્રોજેક્ટ પૂરો કરવાની બાંહેધરી આપી છે.

હવે મિહિર ઘણી મુશ્કેલીમાં છે. તેની પાસે એક જ રસ્તો છે. કંપનીના વેરહાઉસમાં મટિરિયલ ઉપલબ્ધ છે. પણ તે બીજા પ્રોજેક્ટ એન્જિનિયર નિમેશના તાબા હેઠળ છે. મિહિરે તાત્કાલિક નિમેશ સાથે વાત કરીને પોતાના પ્રોજેક્ટ માટે  ઉપલબ્ધ કરાવવું પડે તેવી પરિસ્થિતિ છે.

મિહિરે તાત્કાલિક નિમેશ જોડે ચર્ચા કરીને પોતાની પરિસ્થિતિ સમજાવી છે. નિમેશની એક જ શરત છે. તે મટિરિયલ આપી શકશે કેમ કે તેના પ્રોજેક્ટની સમયમર્યાદા ૧૪૦ દિવસની છે. મિહિરે તાત્કાલિક રીતે પોતાના આવનારા મટિરિયલનાં વ્યવસ્થાપક હક્ક તેને આપી દેવા, જેથી કરીને નિમેશ પોતાના આવનારા પ્રોજેક્ટને સારી રીતે સંભાળી શકે. 

મિહિરે નિમેશની રજૂઆત માન્ય રાખી અને પોતાના આવનારા મટિરિયલનાં વ્યવસ્થાપક હક્ક તેને આપી દીધા. બન્નેએ એકબીજાની રજૂઆત માન્ય રાખી પોતાનાં માટે સહયોગી ઉભા કરી લીધા.



ઉપરના બન્ને બનાવ એ જુદા જ સંદર્ભમાં છે. પણ અવગણી શકાય એવા નથી. આજ રીતરસમ છે. નવા કોર્પોરેટ યુગની. આજના સમયમાં મિત્રતા અને સહયોગ એક સિક્કાની બે બાજુઓ છે. ફક્ત જરૂર છે સમય પ્રમાણે કઈ બાજુનો ઉપયોગ કરવો. 

Don't Make only Friends in the place - Make collaborators ,Alliances

To survive in today's current corporate world is as difficult as fighting a border crossing

It is more useful to create collaborators than to make friends in today's corporate age, because collaborators provide better care than friends.

There is no general principle that associates are only in your section. Collaborators must be inside and out of your responsibility circle.

Corporate culture is divided into many companies in two or more camps. The head of the so called camps is not less than a battalion captain. For them, their personal interests are more intimate than the interest of the company.

The heads of the so-called camps are always thinking about their interest and image. Their Information about his company's project, production, is only adequate for meeting. Their juniors keep presentations, statics, project reports, etc. make ready for them.

A collaborator can prove to be life-saving for you, many times we do not have any way in the classic situations, and no advance warning is available. In this context, refer to the following classical examples.

Incident-1 :  Rahul is a project engineer in the corporate house. His responsibility has been assigned to him.

He has to be included in a general meeting. But he does not know that in the meeting, he will be presented as responsible for the not timely discharge of the details of the new specification as per the customer's demand to the Purchase Department. But the Purchase Officer has advised Rahul that the new specification note of the customer has been given to him only two days before by his superior. Rahul has to fight himself now.

Rahul: Sir, customer's first-person contact is you. And you have forbidden me to talk to the customer directly. And according to our company's policy, the customer's excess demand is to be noted in the add on cost sheet. Then it has to send the head of the marketing department for approval. Those who have to give them in the purchase after getting approved. I have no such information. Or is there any e-mail to your instruction? Sir now tell me which basis you can give a reasonably memo.


Superior officer; Ok I'll see this mater.  You do not need to worry.

In the context of this incident, Rahul got collaboration. Not associate Now Rahul himself will decide whether he will make a purchase officer a collaborator or not.

Don't waste your Anger by showing it, think twice before Act


Anger is one of the most basic human emotions. Taken at face value, anger is merely a response to abnormal or dangerous situations, and there’s really nothing good or bad about it but. 

In today's Corporate Scenario Anger Is everywhere hardwired into a Managers, Clients, your Colleagues, seniors. everyone. 

Specially Anger is part of package for your Seniors, Managers, even sometimes for you can't outrun it.  

just for example:

Scenario (1)

you came to Monday morning on time to your job, you just started your day, you  kind  of setting in the mood & suddenly you see a mail/memo stating that " need in the meeting room in 60 minutes prepare agenda & presentation''.  on a shocking note you didn't know there was a mail/memo after you have left office hours on Friday. 

what you can do in the time?  fighting for the delayed information given to you.or you can start to prepare the assignment. but there's a catch. you received Intimation very late. so, you can't outrun your Seniors order or ignore it, otherwise you will face the wrath of  the seniors, so, don't loose your cool. keep it calm. 

you know that your senior is gives you a mammoth task & you can't disobey it. hence, pls prepare the presentation with replying mail or memo with your note on it AS'' Sir Noted your request i have prepare the presentation pls review it from your end & advice if any changes has to be made. 

by doing so you give a message that '' you are able to perform in dynamic situation & you don't let your effort goes unnoticed. 

some people may or may not be agree with me but there is a win win situation. 


Scenario (2)  

you are shift engineer of the manufacturing unit, your shift about to end in a hour you are ready to go to home & enjoying yourself. 

you find a production order just about nearly a hour left to your shift, Order says that'' 10 units which has been under production now not required , you have a start another batch with revised specification. which is about to take a 10 hours which your hampering entire weekly plan. 

now what for you 

you can directly go to seniors & start fighting about it. think twice before doing it. your seniors may have think of that & they can blame your actions for delay in production & makes you a culprit. which is not good sign for yourself. 

Take a break & thick rationally. 

it's your job to follow the orders & make the manufacturing plan as  required. you can start a manufacturing plan immediately to meet requirements.  Prepare the plan but don't follow orders blindly. Send your revised plan & schedule to approval Clearly stating that " Noted last minutes changes in the plan it's difficult but manages to stay on schedule meanwhile pls approve this plan with cause extra man hours, Operation cost & material Requirement sheet for store, & also send a Add on cost sheet with Approval of V.P Operations to proceed further. 

Now you have confirmed that'' you are ready to follow orders &  not to waste any time by discussing it, you are ready to cooperate but you clearly ties, Manufacturing, Design, Account, & store in one single note that create a awareness of the situation that may or may not be appropriate but your managers may be answerable to higher authorities, or they have 
tried to hide the mistake or wrongdoing to your head, you simply took preventive measurement to justify your actions on the inputs based on your seniors instruction,  


This is how you Deal with anger & save yourself. 


This is not a reference for exact kind of situation but message is clear ''DON'T LET ANGER COMPROMISE YOUR JUDGEMENT ''

A Corporate Fact - IF You Can't Beat Them Then Join Them.

A Corporate World is nowadays no lesser than Battlefield. 

The Common Employee Has  to Fight Everyday war with internal Competition. A.K.A the Other Sides. 


Many times they find Themselves Stuck between Groups, Managers, Project Managers, called as Top of the Food chain. 

They owns the place & runs  the place. They Don't Comply, Agree, with anyone like, Engineers, Management Personal, Execution, Ground Staff, They think They are the bottom of the Food chain. 
 
Really they do belongs to the Bottom of the food chain. 

The Bottom line is always & will be '' lamp to the slaughters '' Till the Evolution of Modern Ages.

Many Times Employees has tremendous pressure to Meet the deadline of the Work assigned to them. They Know it is Not possible to Meet  the deadline in the given time frame. but their Superior is not in mood to hear any so called excuse of their Staff. they just give a order like a caption " this  has to be done within  48 hours ''.

Employee knows that this assignment is  taking his whole weekend. he can't says no because his boss will call him '' incompetent'', he knows saying no means his Performance Appraisal is not going to be well. 



 
in this scenario what should be done ?

If  you tell immediately no to your boss, you will held Captive for no reason. 

you know the outcome. 


Here's the way to fight with it without say a word "no"

You can manage this Assignment within 48 hours or before it. you have to do it. but here's catch. 

you  know  that your boss has  given a mammoth task to you which you had overcome by doing extra efforts,  your extra efforts not going to  unnoticed.

hence what should you do? 

This way you should do it. 

1) Tell your boss this Assignment you had finished just in time, or before the deadline. send him a mail or call him saying '' sir I had done this assignment in  nick of time without affecting my daily workload, I am sending  you right now,  pls go through it & review. if any necessarily major change has to be done then pls let me know ASAP, since i am working from my home & needs to be prepared instantly.  

2) you can mark a copy to your head of the Department for that to just show him, in a nick of time you had done it, without hampering your Daily Routine.  
 
3) By Following this above 02 steps you have ensured to your boss & superior both that you can manage a  Extra assignment at your Extra Personal time for sake the business. 

4) by communication you have registered your efforts to the system & you have shown that you can handle extra assignment but not silently, in future your boss will know you are vigilant about your output, you will not be taking lightly. 

5) By doing this you can ask them to reimbursement for your weekend hours, hence they know next time they will choose to pay you extra or ''Find another Lamb to the slaughters"

By Following this you can shows them that "' you are A hard working  person but not a Fool. '' 

That's the only way as per my perception not to beat them but join them. you can't Fight them for Everyday Every Week, it's waste of your Energy & time. 


It's May or may not be Appropriate for Everyone but the message is short & clear '' Don't let your Effort goes unnoticed"

It is also one of the world's top ten centers of commerce in terms of global financial flow, generating 6.16% of India's GDP and accounting for 25% of industrial output, 70% of maritime trade in India (Mumbai Port Trust and JNPT),and 70% of capital transactions to India's economy. The city also houses India's Hindi (Bollywood) and Marathi film and television industry. Mumbai's business opportunities, as well as its potential to offer a higher standard of living, attract migrants from all over India, making the city a melting pot of many communities and cultures.

This City Attracts a Mass humanity from all over the country & also from rest of the world. 

People come here to chase their dream in Bollywood, world's largest film making industry, unlimited opportunities for business, to working for a corporate, non corporate all kind of jobs. 

I am from one of the mass humanity who fell in the city everyday, i was looking for a better prospectus for my career & i drove to this city around 5 years back.

I  was told the city " never sleeps " not going to suits me, my Friends & colleagues predicated that '' i will come with twice the speed as i leave my home but i had a nasty habit of proving wrong, so what the hell ? i spend 5 years in the city.

MUMBAI's Mantra is like 

6:00 Wake up

7:00 on a Train 

6:00 on a Train 

9:00 on a home 

10:00 Diner 

11:00 Sleep  

In  next morning Repeat all of it.


mumbai's life depends on a train, train runs, life runs, if stops city will stop for a moment.

7.585 million people are traveling to earn their bread & butter. their is none other place in the country people are traveling together every morning but didn't know each other very well it's only possible here.

people are much adjusters here, every morning rush when train is over crowded here. you can not imagine to get a seat in that. people are hanging from sides to just hold their feets.

The Story of three Men & who has everything. Something & nothing.

On a bright Sunday morning all three Men were walking in hills which is incredibly beautiful landscape. A fresh air is spreading all over the land. They were walked a good miles & then decided to have a break & sit in the corner.

The 1st man sat in the corner, while 2nd man came & joined 1st man while they were about to start a conversation, they saw the 3rd man & both man waived at him, 3rd man hesitate at the point but both 1st & 2nd man welcomed the 3rd man.

After a settling down for the few moments, all three men greeted each other & start their introduction.

1st Man: Hello gentlemen My Name is Oliver, I am duke of this county.

2nd Man: Great To meet u Sir, I Am Orlando, I am a baker My Self & Running Small Bakery on 5th Street.

3rd Man: Hello, Gentlemen Myself  Peter & I am just A garner of the rich family.

After Formal introduction between them, they have started to talk to know each other.

Oliver: (started to talk about himself): as I told you earlier I am duke of this county  & I let myself out for a fresh air & some time for myself without my servants, caravan, & my family.

Orlando: sir why you came here by yourself to just a walking around?

Oliver: yes  u are right I am ruling this county from last 30 years, I have a vast mansion, A loving wife, I  am  proud father of two sons, Garry & Holmes,  but for a quite long time I am not satisfied with my all wealth, name.

Orlando: why is that sir? You have everything in the world, a  every other man Dreamed of it.

Oliver: you are right Orlando, but for a few years I am feeling alone by myself, no one is actually care about me, my sons are very eager to take my position & want a control of the whole county. My wife wants me to leave this place & settle down in a small village, my servants are more loyal to my sons, they have thinking that this old man’s days are over, and now my existence is in danger. I don’t know whether my family needs me or not?

I think I am beat up in my own game. I was self centered at a young age, I didn’t pay attention to m my family, I didn’t teach my sons a family values & now I had  pay  the price, I have everything I had Dreamed of but I am  alone by myself.

 Orlando:  Sir I may not able to comment on that, but I live a happy life with my wife, she is very lovely, caring & share a hand in the business, every day we wake up early in the morning baking a fresh bread, cookies & cakes, We sell  in our bakery, till evening sundown, sometimes this business is killing us, we couldn’t talk with each other for a week but we have each other’s back every time,

We have a younger 7 year old girl named Sarah who is star of our eyes, sometimes she joins in the bakery & we all work together. We earn not that much but it is enough for all three of us & we are very happy about that.

We don’t have everything in the world but a fraction of something that we are proud of it.


Oliver:  You are a good person & I bless you, but reminding u that Don’t waste your time just like I had wasted to gain what is not mine now.

Orlando: yes Sir you have seen more Charismas then me, I have taken your Advice.


Oliver & Orlando: Peter now just shows some chapters of your book. We are here to hear your side.

Peter: Morning Gentlemen I am from a very poor family of farm workers, I was born on a  corn field,  My parents were working on a farm, we lived in a barn with horses, a one day our farm & land was gone to the duke like you are, they were building  a  railroad, I didn’t had a choice so I left my home, I did lot of jobs to survive, a ironsmith, a construction worker, a manual labor, a caravan driver, &  many more. I work every day early morning  taking care of my garden.

I haven’t a wealth like a duke or a home like baker but I am sleeping everyday without worrying the next day, because my needs are less than a common man. I have nothing in my life & still I am happy.

A spiritual investment (Eastern Philosophy)

This journey has started in 2012, when I was moved out of my home, friends, for a better career, in to the Mumbai

Initially it was a quite rough & hectic to survive in Mumbai suburbs, but after a few months the city that never sleeps had excepted me without any conditions,

Yet I was still struggling for adjustment in to a new culture, it was no easy to adept a new surrounding near yourself, when your language & culture is different, but it was passing with the time,

One evening I was wondering how people had survived this organised chaos of surviving,

But then I saw & heard something that really touch my heart,
It was a Ganesha chaturthi when people bring Lord Ganesha home, & for couple of days worshiped him & welcoming his arrival & asking for his blessing,

A couple & much younger child had carried a Idol of Lord Ganesha in their small cart, although it was raining that day but they don't care about any thing

They was keep saying,

गणपती बाप्पा मोरया
मंगलमूर्ति मोरया,

I don't understand how the people has devoted themselves to a god or idol in a very unexceptional way,

I am an engineer i was not quite a good at temple going ritual i except the god as a entity, the almighty who runs the whole world,

But a after a few years lived in a western life style mantra " work ,Earn, Enjoy" it was too much at a point, i was felling empty, neglected & so much heavy around myself,  i was kind of trapped inside me, & this was going on for a quite long time,

Till that day my friend came in the morning & asked me if I can join him to pay a visit to a local temple of lord Ganesha called as "The Siddhi vinayak"

I went to the temple & spent almost a hour that day, after that I was felling a little different, but peacefully inside, energetic, blessed, a words can't describe that feeling, that's what I called a spiritual investment,

After that I am going regularly once a week to ask blessing of my lord, & now days it became  & part of my life,

That is a part of our culture, we see things differently, not rationally as western,
Before this i was not participating in any from of puja or ritual in any way near around me,

But now I see things differently & without any hesitation i can cheer for my lord ,
This is a my transformation from a west inspired rationally thinking person to a spiritual thinker,
